Default Gen V 454 block. How much?

Need a block for my 33SE. Stbd engine was overheated by last owner and dropped #4 exh valve seat. Wrecked the head, valve, piston, etc. No problem (or so I thought), bought 2 new 088 heads one piston, conn rod and was all set to assemble after I honed the cylinder. Needless to say #4 has a crack running down the cylinder Sooooo, What I need is a 10114182 Gen V block Std or freshly bored .030 over. What should I expect to pay for one?

I didn't think you could sleeve these old motors.

2 years ago I sold 2 454 Mark IV blocks that had been bored once already for $1,000. Pretty sure he turned around and sold them both for $1,500. I sold them with trashed pro comp heads, oil pan, and intake manifold. They were pretty much blocks only. If I would of waited longer I think I could of gotten $1,500 for both. So IMO a single short block 454 gen V would be worth tops $1,000 used.

Sleeve it and all will be good. Bring the piston to so they can get it sized right. Will work just fine and if done right you will hardly notice the differance when looking at it..

Used 454 blocks go for about $500-$600, that would be before any machine work. I have never had one sleeved, not sure what that would cost.
