I did read somewhere on here someone was going to put a higher h.p. engine in the center of their triple powered fountain, and pitch the prop accordingly, has anyone ever heard or this?I cant see how it would not work, for example
500 h.p. 500 h.p. port and starboard
700 h.p. on the center.
500 h.p. 500 h.p. port and starboard
700 h.p. on the center.

I was trying to find the thread about the guy that blocked off the center transom plate and ran the boat with just the two back engines. Then was going to install the center motor. Anyone have an update on him?

I know a guy who did sorta the opposite... He had a 35' Lightning with a pair of 600hp, or so, NA engines. He bought an early 90's 42' Lightning with triple 465hp 502's, he swapped the 600's in the 35 for the port and starboard 465's in the 42, and sold the 35... left the 465 in the center of the 42, and propped accordingly. He ran it that way for a couple of seasons, with no isuues, until he gathered up the coin to build a third engine to match the other two.
