I'm going to buy my wife a Mini DV camcorder for Mothersday. I'm looking at the Sony TRV 27, Sony DCR PC-9, but I'm not sold on anything. Does anyone have any expertise, knowledege or experience in this field?

I have the pcr 110. And it works great. easy to use and great stills too.

Got an Elura2MC (canon). Small and handy. Good video and sound. Decent battery life. Good stabilizer. Stills are only 640x480, though.

Sony PCR110 slightly larger. Far better stills, though.

Elura2MC fits darn well in my pants pocket though.
