New Big Prize Proposal:
Everyone knows Plyburn, Gino, etc...have the money to go fast. Therefore, their hard work in testing and resources spent to go fast shouldn't matter. Rather than dish out $10,000 to the fastest Skater...shouldn't we split it up evenly so all the boats can buy race fuel and participate?

or better yet, rather than double the prize money if they go over 190mph; maybe we should split this additional bonus evenly between the 10 boats with the least amount of horsepower, so we can "spread the power around".

Actually, you would take the slowest boat and subtract the speed from the fastest boat and add it to all the boats in the middle so that technically the fastest boat became the slowest boat and then................

Obamanomics does not reward people for achievement so there will be no prize. Obamanomics punishes wealth so there will be no wealthy people to buy boats to compete with. Under Obamanomics the only people that will be wealthy enough to race boats will be the politicians.

Actually, if this were the Obamanomics Shootout the following would happen.

Obama and his event staff would require that all participants sell their current boats and donate all of that money to the government in order for Obama and the promoters to purchase boats for everyone that would like to participate in the contest.

Because burning gas is bad and against Obama's green initiatives, we will all be rowing canoes.

There will be no first place because in the world of Obama there are no winners or losers. The first person across the line will actually be penalized and have to go to paddle back and pull the slower boats across the line. They will also be required to pay a fee to Obama and the other event staff for trying to win the event. We will refer to this as a Performance Tax.

Everyone who enters the event will get a trophy, it does not matter what place you come in, you get a trophy. They are all the same.

You have the option of not actually paddling, anyone who crosses the line first will have to come back and get you even though you are perfectly capable of paddling your own canoe across the line.

Because the paddlers will figure out quickly they will have to do twice the work if they attempt to succeed, they will soon stop paddling and the spectators will just be watching a bunch of people floating around waiting for Obama and their staff to come rescue them and bring them to the finish line.

Unfortunately, this will never happen because as we all know, Obama and his staff will not be interested in what actually happens to the people in the boats, they will be paying attention to appointing a Performance Tax Czar to collect the money.....oh wait, there won't be any taxes actually collected because nobody will paddle. So Obama and the staffers will just leave that problem to go create another one.

Meanwhile the people floating in the canoes will be busy blaming each other and complaining that nobody is paddling. This creates a vicious cycle of name calling without anything really getting done. The lazy ones are blaming the paddlers for not paddling and the paddlers are blaming the lazy ones for not even attempting to paddle.

While all of this is going on, illegal participants are sneaking out on the water and getting into teh canoes with the rest of the people hoping that they will get pulled accross the line without actually having to contribute anything to the "Race"

In the end, the event is a massive failure.
