38 Powerplay headed to LOTO

Just wanted to introduce myself to the Powerplay guys. Bar no suprises upon inspection on Monday the 38 Powerplay "No Life Like It" will be making it's new home at Lake of the Ozarks. I hope to have the boat there before the Shootout. I'm hoping it's going to eat up the BIG water at LOTO.

Congradulations JMS, on a great boat purchase! Leo has kept his/your boat in an air-conditioned warehouse since it was new. Its spotlessly maintained. Excellent example of a PP 38. Did you buy directly from Leo, or through someone else?

Ditto. I haven't seen the boat, or Leo, in about 4 years, but it was definitely kept inside his warehouse and was always spotless. I know the boat was blowing outdrives in the first year and he was frustrated with this, but on the upside, the down time kept the hours off the motors.

Nice boat! Leo was a nice guy as well. He and his business partner owned a 33' PP with twin outboards for a number of years prior to buying the new 38'.

Well, I'm here in Florida today. Drove over to where the boat is stored so I would be able to find it easily tomorrow. Leo just happened to be there. Got my first look at the boat in person. All I can say is WOW. The boat is VERY clean. Gel and paint shines perfectly. Only salt damage I could find was a couple of cleat bezels need replacing and 1 cup holder. Everything else looks excellent. Tomorrow I'll do leakdown and compression test, then we'll be good to go. I should probably stick some new plugs in, being as they'll be out.
