Does Mercruiser offer a kit for the raw water pump on a HP500 that includes the impeller, gaskets and wear plates in one package? If so, does anybody know the part number?

Yes, they do have this kit, but I do not know the part number. Goodfella should chime in on this soon.

This is the part number for the one that has the new one piece housing.

Codd - I have 1995 Gen V motors. Will this kit work with my pumps or do I need to order a different kit since mine is of an older design?

It should work... I am not the expert, but from the documentation that I have it should work.

Just some $.02 worth.......a friend just replaced 1 of the engines impeller. What was unusal about it was that is blue in color. He said that this type will run about 7-10 minutes with out water...where a the black OEM style only runs a 2-3 minutes without water....Just passing it along

Where did he get the one that was blue in color?

I just talked to him on the phone and he said he has the part number ...but it is in the boat. But he thinks he got it from BAM marine and it is made from silcone. I will repost with aprt number or you can call BAM marine or even e-mail them
