being a newb... what makes a 5th wheel so much more desirable then a regular trailer?

5th wheel has all the tongue weight over the rear axle vs having a tag along (bumper) where the tongue weight is on the rear bumper. More stable, easier to pull, shorter turning radius etc.

Is it me, or does that trailer look like it has a ball hitch on it?? Am I just not seeing the pin on the bottom??

some of the goose necks have a ball pivot and some have the plate for actual 5th wheel, this one i believe is a ball/goose neck. In my original post I was referring to the towing style for turning and such

A "5th Wheel" has a plate, like a tractor trailer...A "Goose neck" has a Ball in the bed of the truck

I've already got a ball mount in the bed of my truck. I wonder if there's any way to make it fit my pontoon.
