which would be a faster set up. a 27 with a single 525 or 575 or a 28 with twin 496's. I know this sounds like a stupid ? but I'm about ready to move up from my 23 to something bigger and would like the size but I think I could be just as happy with a 27 if the performance would be about the same.

27 with a 525 will run 84-88
28 with twins will run mid to upper 90's

Other differences are 28' has higher sides & is about 6" wider at 9' Going from single engine to twin. Sometime Insurance companies like smaller boat when starting out in a cat.
