I have a 1996 and now that winter time is coming I'm going to take the time to build my own windscreen for the 272 since it has the windshield. I have a couple of questions for the glass professionals such as glassdave. Could this be done by using thinner plywood and fiberglassing the plywood and then spraying gelcoat at the end to make it nice and white and thru bolt it on the boat? I'm trying to come up with ideas since it's almost impossible to buy one, actually it is impossible to buy one! if you guys can enlighten me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it

My buddy just did a 240 baja and took out the glass and replaced with foamboard or some kind of insulation aluminum on the outside weighs less than a pound for a sheet from Home Depot then wrapped it with fiberglass mat and resin sanded and prepped painted looks great can send pics later.
