Default 502 Blues

New crate engine with less than 20hrs looses oil pressure after engine warms up. Sounds like main bearing to me.. What do you guys think??

What pressure are you running cold? Has it been that way from the get go? Or is it been gradually been getting worse. Just a thought is your remote oil filter plumb correctly? Had a buddy with the same issue, he had the remote filter plumb wrong. It ran fine until it crushed the paper pleats in the filter and he then started to loose oil pressure. His was at the 23 hr mark. Just a thought. Pete

How much does it lose. Mine drops about 20 after warms up from 70 to 50

cold engine 40lbs from the very first time the engine was fired.. drops down to almost nothing now when warmed up

Check the routing on the remote fiter. Sounds like they are backwards.. Should be running more pressure than that. Out on the engine (outter fitting on engine adaptor) to in on the filter base. Out of the filter base to the cooler than to the engine in (center fitting on engine adaptor),

Make sure it is just not a lose ground on guage but sounds bad when was last time oil was changed

Check it with a mechanical guage to make sure it's not just a sending unit problem.

oil has about 10hrs straight 40wt
