Coming to Lake Norman next weekend. My son is in NASCAR tech and is his birthday on Sunday. He is living in Mooresville. Thinking about dragging the boat down with me. Not sure where I will be staying, yet. Can someone give me a recomendation a place to stay that the boat will be safe. I haven't been on the lake and would like to meet up with some locals for a day on the water. Thanks

I-77 exit 28 Cornelius has several hotels w/ ample parking & a few ramp choices. Blythe Landing at exit 25 & Ramsey Creek at exit 28.

Or you can stay in Mooresville at exit 36 close to your son, the ramp is off Hwy 150 Queens Landing but it's primarily a 2 laner & the traffic can be a pain.

You might get better feedback from a post on Boatfreaks.org which is based here & will catch the attention of more local boaters.

If you go to exit 25, go west to Berksdale village... Cool area/ shops..etc.
