Default Boat Taxes..what percentage do you pay?

Dang....has the dedistribution of wealth begun? I moved from 1 county to another in Ga. last year. Thought I had done well...got them to drop the tax valuation 30%. Just received my tax bill....it was higher than last year!

What states don't tax boats or are boater friendly? Might be in my best interest to buy a piece of land in a boater friendly state and let it reside there!

Lord help us when Ga decides to jack up their millage rate...It is currently less than 1% of my tax bill. Rugrat taxes on the otherhand are over 70% of my tax bill!
