paint or wrap durability?

both are fine...
My fountain has a wrap (That my shop did )
and I like the fact that it is changeable and protects the - gelcoat from "yellow Staining" on the water line. I like that feature soo much.
Just some food for thought.......

as long as the wrap is laminated, very important...normal cleaners that do not contain acids can be used..409, spray 9 all work well....paint will hold up better to abuse for the most part..but also seen painted boats blister from sitting in the water for a couple of days so no gaurantee there...

I placed vinyl stripes over my outdated looking berry and teal colors. I am very happy with mine, the only thing is that I hit something in the water which scraped the vinyl and exposed the old gel coat. The bad thing is that I "think" I should replace the entire stripe for only a 2" scratch. If scratch is cut out and slide a new one in, I think it will be obvious. I have silver color, I wanted a chrome mirror wrap but I was told that was triple the cost, so I just went with the silver, my black is glossy and it will mirror your reflection but not the silver. It was only $600, so if cost is your main concern, the wrap is the way to go.
