can you tint a neutral gel coat white?

if you mean nuetral as in opaque yes you could but you will need strong white tints not just white gel. What do you need to do this for?

Im repairing a 2006 baja 342 boss. it had exstinsive fiberglass damage. i want to use gel coat, but i dont have any experance with it. i have to shoot three colors mainly white, small amounts of red, and some gray. my local fiberglass repair shop will sale and tint the gel. a gallon of white is 180.00 plus a 45 dollar tint charge. and pints of the other two colors are 45 dollars each and 45 each to tint! my idea was to buy 5 gallons of nuetral and tint my self and save some cash. any idea's? help? or tips? Thanks, Tom
