31 with 300 outboards
I am looking to buy my first cat, I recently sold a 2002 34 powerquest, looking for advise on 31 with 300 out boards, what ever I buy I want stock motors I always run fresh water are outboards good or bad , will they burn more fuel than IOs , what kind of ride can I expect compared to V-hull

We have one with 300X's. I don't burn more fuel than my friends v bottom boats in that size with twin io's, but we are definitely alot faster. One motor failed me after 260 hours a couple weeks ago. Should have it back this week. Both lower were gone over before this season.
