Looking for some knowledge or help with Merc 502's? I have seen some covers saying 502 MAG EFI/MP and some with 502 MAG EFI, what is the main difference? Is Hp and Tq the same? I know the casting numbers would tell me the difference between the gen V and gen VI, whats the difference?

My understanding is the 502 Mag has it for the low end TQ but the losses out at the top end HP because of it. The Stright 502 doesn't have the out of the hole but makes up for it on the top end.
