I'd like to thank those who tried to help with positive statements
in helping me moving "Night Moves" along to it's new owner...
especially "30", "sick", "air" and "oc". I ended up making a deal
with the broker this past week which enabled me to buy Jeff's old
Super Pacer. I am so excited to get this boat finally and get it
ready for the lake in Maine for next summer. Also it's great to
be with the same Sutphen gang that recognize that these boats
are really something special! To me the quality and strength of
these great boats do set them apart from the rest. Hey...who
knows...I may even end up on the Ct. River next year and then
you young guns can show an OLD MAN how to have some fun!
Thanks again guys.

Thats great news George I hadnt heard from Brian today but I guess your all picked up and on your way. If you have any questions about my old ride let me know.
Its been a while since she was mine but I dont think shes seen any use and hopefully no abuse in the process.
It was a great boat when I had it and I TORE up the CT river with it. It was like a jetski on steroids!
The 350 in it was built by Larry liefert of torrington ( built paul newmans engines and does allot of road race Gt1 stuff) and although its not a real high performance build the proper machining etc was employed so it should be a real nice solid engine for you. only had about 10 or 15 hrs on it when I sold it 4 or 5 years ago.
The drive is a volvo 290 with power trim usually found on larger boats and very durable rotation can be changed in minutes which makes finding props much easier.
The prop on its isnt enough prop for ot and there should be one inside the boat that will run faster.
The boat was owned originally in Wallingford CT and was built for someone who competition ski'd and thats why it had left hand drive. Very unique boat.
Jimmy goodrich will probably know more on that it was an offshore speed and ski boat.
God luck with it.

Thanks guys! I got the boat off a borrowed trailer and have it
my garage. At least it's out of the weather and I'll be able to
do all the work indoors. Very happy to get this one! At least
now I'll be able to teach the kids how to water ski behind a
Sutphen...WOW Loud & Fast! In the early 60's, I competition
skied in Maine growing up...it will be great doing it all over again with them. Summer can't come soon enough.

I'm looking forward to seeing some photos. I'd love to pick up an OB Super Pacer some day. It would be a nice companion for my father's Ocean Pacer.
