Here are some shots from the water test.
This is the resto that my son has been working on. This is the very first pleasure boat that we ever built back in the 70's, Hull #2, it was originally powered by a 280 with a TRS drive and colored yellow.....it now has a new deck also on the old hull.
My son wanted to keep it as original as possible so he kept the drive, but replaced the motor with a big block that has been lovingly massaged by Cobra engines of Miami.
My son and a certain Mr. Saccenti, were playing with the boat last weekend and .......we are walking a very narrow path here, as we want to keep the TRS drive, but we all know that Mr S. won't go in a slow boat, so we are trying to keep the horsepower up, but not enough to blow the drive.
Prop selection still has to be made and then we start dialing it in for speed numbers.
PS Oh yes, at some point we have to put the windshield on too.

Please share pics of that engine and the engine bay. What hp? ↲
What props are you thinking about? It seems both me and trojan runs BB/Bravo with high slip. ↲
Im above 20 percent no matter what prop i have tested. If i remember correct, i think trojan was the same?
