Well I did a search and kinda answered my own question. Has anyone ever raced a 26?? How do they handle with a short box and big power? Say 700hp?

I dont know much about them but I've heard the single 26's ran very well!! Should make a good little race boat in OPA!! But if you want the best 26ft'r go find yourself a Sutphen!!

Hustler still making the 26. Were some new ones on market recently. I don't think they make them with twins any longer. Never drove one, so can't comment on how they run.

The twin engine small block powered 26s are not built any more.

The 26 has great rough water capabilities (for its size!). Huge cabin but 600s are big enough for that boat.
