I ran a 21p rev 4 with low cruise speed and hit rev.

So I guess it depends what you were getting out of cruise at 4k if I would still want this??

thanks

Are you at full throttle when you hit the rev limit ?

yes.. but cant trim out as it gets to rev without trimming out and that was flat water. at 4500, i could trim out and got good slip #'s. Also, I can usually pick up another 100 rpms with 6-12" chop and another 50-100 when I can trim out.

cruise with the 21 really stunk with on 46mph.. I can get 49-50 with good conditions and 48 usually in any other conditions.

If you are hitting the rev limit at 4800 and I am assuming you have a 496 mag engine, the rev limit should be around 5150. You should be able to go into a higher pitch prop to get you there. The only way to know is to try it. I think your cruise speed will also improve. The bottom line is you should not be on your rev limiter at 4800 rpm

no.. I was able to trim out at 4500... wot was hitting rev at 5150 but couldn't trim out... wasn't out long but didn't play with it by pulling back trottle a bit to trim out... so definitely the 21 is small... thinking the 22p b1 would only net a little better cruise..

I normally cruise at 50mph with all of our friends, but would like to get the rpms do stay under 4k at 50mph. my 23 gets me there but loses when I add peeople or get flat bad conditions.. I normally hold 48 consistently at 4k rpms now. I am believing that I need to get a 24 and lab to get rpms back..

I am torn on this issue.. your prop looks good, but I would have to get 10% slip with a 22p vs a 24 at 18% the 22 might be at rev, but I would need to lab the 24 eventually get a 250-300rpms back

Almost thinking just to lab my 23p m+.. I need to call BBlades to find out what I could gain as for needing pitch and rpms out of a 3blade?
