Default 200c heads...larger valves?

I have decided that the Nova will be going after the wife graduates next summer, (MAT) but i do need a valve job now. Has anyone installed larger valves in these round port heads and can i get some bottom end torque from going larger. Any info will help but I do not want the expense of new edelbrock or merlins at this time.
