For those who are into the old Apache race boats, I found one of them Saturday.
Boat is sitting on trailer in a garage at Guy LaMotta's marina in Port Washington NY. Latest news is that the top deck is getting fresh paint. This boat is AMAZING up close but whoever painted on the boats name, did a lousy job IMO!!

what is the boat running for power? what are the speeds?
have any interior pics?
boat has a great history, it was one of the lightest and was 1/3 bens back up boat along with star chaser and the yellow warpath i believe it was built in 87 then headed to a lake out west after ben went away, then after that the real history was made with ed toth winning everything in it, even the worlds.
that transom lifting eye is something Mr. Toth designed it ran through the cleat and was tig welded together for a clean look and bolted to the trim tab thruogh bolts. There used to be lots of little trick parts and pieces on that hull. i always admired that particular hull.
Best of luck to the current owner. i am glad its up north in big water areas near star chaser...close to me, so maybe one day i can make a play.
