Default First long pull with a Diesel. (770 miles round trip)

Well took my the boat to Fort Walton for a long weekend (770 miles round trip). My boat is not close to maxing out the trucks ability, as its only about 7000lbs including the trailer, but it’s for sure a load.

Thoughts:

The truck pulls it like a champ, even at 85mph its strong. when it comes to a hill, it does not down shift, the boost just creeps up according to the hill, and truck maintains speed the whole way. The truck stops great as I already knew, but the few stops that required the brakes pretty good (Like a random person in B-Ham) it’s like nothing is back there. LET alone the awesome engine braking the Alison does. BAD ass for sure.

I never had EGT's over 1200, never had boost go over 22PSI. tranny temps where never over 190, and engine temp was normal the whole way.

MY new trailer tires, (NOT GOOD YEAR's they suck ball sack). I am now running Tow Master's made it both ways without a problem. unlike 3 blow outs with good years.

Tow haul button, set cruse, turn on boss stereo, and ROLL OUT

LOVE IT.

Dropped the truck of this morning at dealer for its Injectors to be replaced under warranty. fingers crossed that still goes through.

You get best mpg with a Cummins at 1900-2000rpms. In my truck-5.9, 3.73, manual-that was 60-64mph.
