Default 454 Headers

Hey Guys,

I need to pick up a set of headers for my tow rig, 95 K3500. It had a set of Gibson Shortys on it, and they are toast. Does anyone know if there is a close replacement out there size wise with a ball socket joint that would allow me to save my exhaust?

I'm trying not to spend more than $500, I've looked at the Hedman Elite, but all I can find is a Long tube.

Edelbrock also makes a TiCoated shorty, but Im confused on the pricing With A.I.R. is much cheaper than without... doesn't make much sense to me. Couldn't I just plug all the AIR crap?

Any other suggestions? I don't want to be replacing these things in 2 years so coated is a must.

BB OR SB ?the air tubes are for the california trucks with air pumps to ignite the unburned fuel..i would stick with regular header..
i have used the edelbrock's 2 into one on the older model bb trucks with great success,,409 ss would last the longest out of ant chrome header..i would spend the extra money and buy a better header..

Thanks for the suggestions, I should have mentioned it's a mild 454, merlin heads, towing cam, etc. I'll check 'em out!

RT - did you consider getting a set of Gibson stainless headers? Or is that what you tried and rotted out?

I did consider the stainless gibsons, but the ~$750 price tag is a little more than I'm trying to spend.

Gibson doesn't actually even list an application for a 95 with a 454, just the 350. They show a 96 though, I think those would work?
