degreeing stock 502 cam

Hello ALL

I'm install a stock gen 6 cam should be installed straight up, advanced or be retarded and if so how much. What would be the best way to degree this cam. Thanks Jp

Straight up is best most of the time. I've only degreed cams one way and that is with a degree wheel and indicator. What would be the other ways?
