i think i used 1708 2 layers on the under side not just on the seem full pieces extend about 4 inches over the seems make sure the wood u use is nice and tight put the glass over the glass filler while it is all still wet. thats all under side repair the top is a nother thing

foam core but basic same thing. whatd u do on the top?

17 or 1808 is pretty much all ya need on both sides. As JD said couple layers and over tabbed. Are you using ester or epoxy? the tops a little trickier, you need to scarf the joint just right so it does not print through although it will be tough unless you remove the exhisting verticle sections of glass around the perimeter of the hatch and opening. You are trying to use the old hatch as the filler or making new?

I had bomars so I just have the holes left from them. I should grind the existing glass down to the foam on the edges and then bevel it back from there right??? I figure about four inches back and about four layers, so start the first coat at the edge of the old opening and gain about an inch each layer??? this is after the foam plug is in place of course. ill do the inside last cause it just gets carpeted so the finish isnt important.

west systems epoxy and and 400 series stuff for fillers and fairing
