Default Removing Saddle Tanks

Im removing the saddle tanks out of my 42 fountain some years are different but these are foamed in and bolted to a front and rear bulkhead.

I have been cutting the foam with a wallboard saw and there not budging I even used a come along between the two tanks

Is there something to eat away this foam? Besides the extra room I need to fix the bulkheads. As far as the repair I plan on using polyester resin and 1.5oz cloth doing 5 or so coats wet on wet and probably beef up the area with a brace

i just remove mine out of a 91 42 lighting was not fun you need to use a sawsall with a long blade just keep cuting back and forth until the foam is in small enough chuncks to pull out. the sides are put in with strips of plywood and 3m 5200 the foam on the sides gets so compacted it almost turns into hard resin,so just keep working the blade until its freed up then use the come along good luck

if you can get a power washer in there, it will blow the foam part and out
