Default jl vs. alpine 7" speakers

cant decide if i wanna spend $200 for 2 sets of alpine 7" speakers or drop $440 on the jl 7" speakers. Are the jl really that much better. running them off a alpine head unit and pdx4 amp.

JL or alpine both great but JL has really really nice stuff. but i run JBL so i really ave no opinion. save the 240 for gassss... thats my thought.

I like my JL's, prefer the way they sound but Alpine is a good product too. All depends on personal preference and if its worth it to you to spend the extra $.

I went with neither one. I run 6 DC Gold 7's and 2 6x9's. 3 year warranty and they are 100% waterproof. They sound excellent as well. They cost about the same as the JL's though.

well I found the JL speakers for $189 a pair and went ahead and bought them. Thought I got a good deal $378 for 4 mx770 speakers. Im sure they will sound great just because I spent that much on them.

Haha, thats funny. I hope you love them, but just so you know I have spent a lot of $$ on audio equipment that didn't sound great just because they were expensive. In fact lately, some of my favorite stuff is from Orb Audio and was thousands and thousands less than some of my other stuff, yet sound just as good. IMO Bose sound like crap yet are very overpriced based on the marketing strength

I use the JL Audio MHD900/5 to power (4) JL 7.7 and (2) 10" JL free air subs. Plenty of power.
