seems like most 30 outlaws have mags and most 33 outlaws have ho's. whats the speed diff between the 2? which is a better boat? i live in ohio and do smaller lakes were these boats are huge and do cumberland and erie a couple times. whats this worth?
its the best looking 25 i have ever seen ! thats why i bought it clean as a pin and a ho boat with killer sound system

Can really give you speeds but the two are built entirely different. The 33OL is a standard stringer built boat and the 30 OL is a liner boat. As you know 3 foot in a boat is a mile but as you said your boating is done on inland lakes and may not be as important. There are some great deals on the 33OL in the classifieds.....not so many on the 30 OL. Best advise would be to sit in both.
As for the value of your 25 OL......depending on engine option, 496 HO.....If you can get mid to upper 30's for it you will be doing good.

I can't speak for the newer liner boats, but in my experience (302, 29OL, 342) I think they all seem to have similar tendencies as far as ride and handling go. Predictable and easy to drive.
I got my 342 over the summer and had it narrowed down between it, 33 and 36 OL. Wherever I could find the best deal. I didn't consider the 30 only because I was looking at a little older and couldn't touch a 30 for what I wanted to pay.
The 33 has a ton of cockpit space in it. Probably the most of any boat out there. Like Baja Man said there are good deals on them and are built entirely different than the 30. Depends on budget, model years looking at and preference. The 33 hasn't changed much since 1998. As mentioned, crawl around on both.
I would probably price an '06 HO 25 in the mid to upper $40s. It's a very popular model. At $39,900 it would move very fast. I guess it depends on hours, options, salt/fresh water use, etc, etc.

My good friend has a 2006 30 OL with HOs and I’ve seen 79.8 on a good day out of that boat..... I have had quite a few Baja’s and have ridden in almost every model. The 30 is a fun boat but the ride will be much better in a 33 not to mention the cockpit room you will have is twice as much. My friends 30 is for sale and I’m about to pick up a 2002 33 to sell that going to be a steel for someone.
Text or call if you want more info...

Go with the 33, IMO it's the best boat Baja Made.
Unfortunately, what some perceive as beauty and
killer sound systems dont mean squat to those
that lend $$$ on them.....the banks determine
what they're worth as an average.

If your picking between used boats, a 33 is better balanced with 496 blocks than a 30ol, and would be my choice. Too bad the 33 did not have the nice anchor locker on the nose like the 30.
My favorite would have to be the 35 Outlaw with the notched transom, and all the goodies. The 35 can be as fast as the 33 on average with the same power (but as always) that extra 2' is that much more to bridge those waves.

thanks for all the input and advice and for those who called me and texted me. this is a great site and an asset to the powerboat world.
i like the 33 for the cockpit area but i dont like the fact that i cant get to 80 with HO 496's. i live in central ohio and were i boat these are probally overkill any way. i love my 25 law, it has killer looks and is set up nice runs 68.7 gps. just would like more speed really dont weant to gain just 5 mph with the 33
so that leaves me with the 30 outlaw
