Default prop question

27' with a 500efi and currently has a 28 pitch bravo 1. is this the correct prop ? whats everyone else running ?

That is a pretty broad question. It depends on what you want the prop to do. Are you looking for top end? Are you looking for mid range cruise? Have you had a chance to run the boat yet? A good place to start will be with weather conditions and current performance info......RPM's and GPS's #'s @ WOT.

Hes racing. Id prop it way down Bern...we have 700hp spinning a 24 for acceloration and rough water. Theyll all run 75...its getting there what counts

Hey Bern I run a labbed 28 Bravo with my 509 at 5200 rpm. I can run my labbed 30 bravo to 5000 rpm. I recently ran my 26 Hydromotive 4 blade to 5400 rpm and liked it, but I didn't really get much seat time to see how it reacts in different water. I would try to get my hands on a 24 Hydro and see what it does for you. I think you'll like it.

Its a lot harder for him to break out...and the turns....we stay with randy down the straights and looose him in the turns. Hopefully some real rough water racing this year (not bays and crap) will balance the field out

That's easy....I do it all the time against Phil and his 700+hp...I think it has something to do with the driver......

BTW Bern we have the 24 Hydro that came off our boat if you want. Not in the best shape but jerry was doing well with it
