Default duraglass, tigerhair?

I want to get rid of my glass windshield and make one out of fiberglass, being a son of a autobody man I am more familiar with duraglass and have used tigerhair on other projects but no very little about resins and hardners. I was going to make it out of wood and then cover it and blend it to the boat has any one used it before? Txs BMAN

actually those two products arent that great for marine use contrary to what the can says. There are much more user friendly products that will last longer. I would use a foam core covered with a few layers of 1708 then tune it up with West Systems 404 followed by couple'a good coats of a waxed gel coat for final fairing. What kind of boat?

27 signature, what is foam core? So what won't last not that I don't trust you because I see how many times you reply on here but here's my reason on the top of the back of.the transom someone had cut it out and replaced it but it was concaved in ( if you remember what the signatures looked like ) so I used duraglass to build it out is that something I should redo before I paint thanks again for your time

correct, the number denotes the fabric weights 1708 is a 17oz stitched fabric with a .75oz mat. 1208 would be 12oz fabric with .75oz fabric attached. Something like 1815 would be an 18oz fabric and an ounce and a half mat.

uscomposites.com is a great supplier for smaller orders.
