It'll pull it for sure, but its the 3.73's that are really hurting it. If it had 4.10's the rating would be a lot higher.

The 6.0L sucks for towing. It really does.

Is your 29 Outlaw a single or a twin? If it's a single, you will have a little easier time towing it. However, if it's a twin, and/or you plan on a bigger boat one day; you will really appreciate a bigger motor--i.e. Duramax.

Make sure you have GOOD brakes on the trailer and should be OK. Just dont pass the gas station

If you use a tuner(I used Hypertech2) and raise your shifts points up 12mph from 1st to 2nd 10mph from 2nd to 3rd and 10 mph 3rd to 4th you will also have to raise the max rpm to 6200 to avoid bumping the rev limiter when shifting under full throttle or under load.I also used a Fresh air intake and full exhaust but prob wouldnt be nessasary. this also will let you hold 2nd gear up to approx 60mph when pulling hills. this set up made 14 mpg empty and approx 8 to 10 mpg pulling,(depending on load) I think you will pretty happy with this set up. no it wont pull like a diesel but you will be suprised

Can the truck do it?????? Yes!

Will you be satisfied???? I doubt it.

I was towing a 24' Formula with04, 6.0L and 4:10's. A long hill would make it shift out of OD but when it accelerated after the down shift it would pick up speed till we went over the hill.

My other truck was 07, 6.0L with 3:73 and it would shift out of OD while approaching the hill and then labor all the way up with high rpm's.

Your truck will handle it fine but you will find the hills to be a killer and that is where I don't think you will be satisfied with 3:73 gears.

Get 4:10's or Dmax. The Dmax is way over kill but you can get a bigger boat too.
