Default F2-18 Gone Ballistic, 1999 380 nor-tech???

I just picked up this boat, does anyone have any info on it or Pictures? It looks like it had a notched transom, but someone filled it in. Also, it is rigged for bravos but the x was raised 2.5" from original bravo height.
I'm planning on glassing over the bravo cut and installing konrads, but not sure where to start with x dimension.

I've been waiting for you to pipe in J-Bonz, this must be the only boat you don't know.
Jeff, you are correct, it is going to be alot of work, but we have long, cold winters up here and nothing but time. I should have taken you up on your offer and bought your's though.
Can you tell me the distance from the hull line to the bottom of your bravo transom plate? Mine is about 10".

Been calling on that boat almost weekly for like 8 months now, the credit union it was at was suppose to call me when the title b.s. cleared.

Two cocks racing almost bought it at $9k and was nice enough to pass it along to me after they bought a better boat. I was at $7500 with the c.u. so I'm sure you got a great deal. Guess I should have called one last time.

Do you plan to race it or pleasure it? If pleasure its fine how it is (side-by-side). If your going to race it I would highly recommend going staggered.

Not sure what you're going with for power but if its nothing crazy (and you plan to just pleasure with it) you can get by with the some warmed over bravos. As I understand it this boat had a light layup.

Good luck in the project!

If he wants a full stager, he will have to move the bulkhead forward, Mine had enough for a short stagger.

From what I am learning about mine driving it around, with that notched transom, the boat really just needs a stock length bravo or XR type drive on it and the engines sitting where they were designed to be.

This thing was designed right from the factory, don't try and change her, it will only piss her off.

And by the way... Mine is 95% there, so it is up for grabs.

If it don't sell, look for it at Tickfaw, Planning on an outside chance at Havasu as well.

Jeff keep in mind this is an odd boat. Was your's the other factory raceboat?

From the pics that I was sent (none of which was great) a full staggered is totally possible. Especially with no back seat. Heck the hatch already looked long enough as is.

Personally I was kinda thinking the factory didn't get it "right" or optimized, rather it was built to factory racing specs which I believe at the time required the side-by-side installation. From what I gathered from asking around this was not one of their finer offerings.

That said it is a perfect platform for a performance build and a great buy.

Also, if you want a quick fix on that transom a standoff box would be great. Just go with the straight back (not the 3" rise). With the 2.5" your raised plus the 12" back it should be just about right on.

Just a thought. Although Konrads would allow you to throw more power at and be able to sleep at night lol
