engine kill switch attachment

FOr those of you/us that wear your kill switch without a lifejacket, how to you attach it to your shorts/bathing suits? The majority of my shorts do not have belt loops to attach to.

Most of my shorts have belt loops, but when I am wearing a bathing suite it has the draw string you can attach it there. Hey how about your shoe

I usually use the ole drawstring but am not all that confident that it would not come untied if I happened to need it too.
Try the shoe, I like that one.
Has anyone ever tried or seen anyone use a wrist lanyard?

I have used a wrist lanyard attatchment like those used on a ........gasp....cough....PWC.
I won't tell anyone you use a jet-ski part
Seriously, I think you can buy them at the local pwc shop or even an online catalog.
Hell, I'll buy you four of them if I can get a ride in your AWESOME new boat!

I had my honey sew D rings in my old trunks...
Then I started buying those river/kayak type swim shorts that come with D rings and velcro & zippered pockets for wallet and junk. They are real nice. Check the outdoor outfitter stores.

summer you are welcome to come for a ride anytime. No need to send me lanyards.
Mach1 good idea, I always seems to need bigger shorts every year for some reason. I think all the salt water must shrink them

I used to hook up to my swim trunks but I never found a spot that seemed secure enough. Also I would forget it was attached and disconnected it a few times when I got up. I bought a PWC type wrist band from West Marine for a few bucks and use it all the time. It's real easy to attach the lanyard since it has a D ring on it and is velcro adjustable so it is quick to put on and take off. I definitely don't forget it is on anymore either.
