I am refrubishing my pontoon, and I have a set of faria guages from by Baja from when I changed to Gaffrig guages. I am wondering if the Faria tach can be used with a 3 cylinder Evinrude. Will it read accurately? I know this isn't performance boat stuff, but I figured you guys would know.

look on the back of the tach and see if there is a slider or rotary switch to set for number of cylinders or pulses per revolution
