Default Dart 8.1 Gen 7 Iron Heads

What about these 8.1 Gen 7 heads from Dart.

http://www.dartheads.com/products/ge...nder-head.html

Dart claims their intake design provides better flow than the stock head design. Does anyone know anything about them?

Rage:

You have been one of those 496 owners who has always tried everything in iron use heads, I think you should buy a pair and tell the rest of us if they really work as claimed.
My take, is iron is still iron (can't raise compression), 100lbs heavier than aluminum and the real issue is do they add enough power by themselves to offset the cost of about $1000 per head by the time they are fully equipped with valves, springs, retainers, rocker studs, pushrod guide plates, seals, etc.?
I and many of our customers know what the Raylar aluminum heads can do the question of these heads will hopefully be known soon.

Obviously, Raylar is biased but I know the real reason Richard at Dart has come out with these heads and a block to match.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Yeah, whats the real reason? The original heads suck and there are a couple million in the field that people are trying to message?

Rage, I just bought two fuel pickups at CP Performance. He told me the DART heads will be on display at the Miami boat show with DATA.

Not that it matters, I bought the best... Raylar

Keith,

What exactly did you buy? Saw somewhere maybe the 600's?
I am still on the fence and have not done anything to my 496's but CMI's. When it's times 3, it gets real expensive with any option.

I talked to Dart. These heads have been in developement over the last two years. Initial limited production was run to provide heads to do testing only. Dyno testing is completed. First volume production is scheduled to begin in about two weeks. Wait and see what the data looks like.

What about intakes? I thought the stock intakes didn't flow very good numbers.
