Default Adhearing vinyl to fiberglass????

Im having trouble with attaching vinyl to unfinished fiberglass. The fiberglass is a dome shape and two spots in the center of the dome keep pulling away. The interior shop has been using 3m 8090 super adhesive. Does anyone have any ideas what adhesive would work better?

I would have thought the 3M stuff would have been sufficient. I'm kind of thinking it may be more of an installation issue. Either the piece is being put up with a bit of tension in those areas or the adheasive isn't being allowed to tack properly. Some of those contact cements have a specific window of time the work best in. I have pretty good luck with plain 'ol contact cement in the red can from home depot, I think its from Weldwood.

Thanks for all the help! I think I may give it a try myself to make sure it's done properly.

Warm the vinyl & use K grip. Tack time is also important. Sometimes you have to work little by little. Also make sure your surfaces are clean properly prepped. The K grip is stronger than the most adhesive sprays. It is specifically designed to bond upholstery to objects including foam. We use it in our upholstery shop when we need more adhesive strength than the 3m stuff.. Not that the 3m is bad or doesnt have its' place.. Jamie / Lakeside
