Boat is a 31' Cig bullet with 509's, B&M 250's, and 750 double pumpers. The Bravo 1's are getting a little tired even though I am easy on them, easy out of the hole and gradual increase to
WOT 88 mph at 5200 rpm. I read all the talk about how the XR's are not the way to go because of basically not holding up so I am leaning toward X drives but don't know if they are built any stronger then the stock bravo 1's. I don't really want to go the 20 grand to switch to the IMCO's what are my options? I feel you guys know more about it then I do!!!!!!! Thanks for the input.

There is upgrades to the 1 1/4 shaft you can buy. Easy swap out. You can also get the x drive top cap which is thicker and finned. I acquired the caps just need to work on the shafts. I think the bigger propshafts are just xr's with the carrier.

I agree that the XR's should be fine for your power and driving habits. Will also be easy to find some nice takeoff's and an easy swap out for you with the smallest investment. Only advantage I see to the Imco's are stronger housings in the uppers. Gears are still XR junk. Unless you go to the SCX which are 20K each by the time your done. Pound anything hard enough and it will break, been there done that!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the input from all of you. Looks like we will finally have some good boating weather here in Southwest Florida this weekend, maybe a trip to Nervous Nelly's for a bite to eat and a RUM drink!!!!
