Default Flooring questions

Hey guys, I was looking at another thread and there was mention of Pirelli flooring and Lonseal flooring. I went to the Lonseal website, and browsed around, but I have some questions. I will be replacing the glued carpet in my boat this spring, and was going to gel the floor and put down snap in carpet, but these flooring options raised some questions.

Who has used these products? Where do you buy the material, and how has it held up over time? Can you put removable carpet over this flooring?

Could you post up some pics of your floors?

On another forum I belong to, a guy put truck-bed bedliner material down over his new floor. Has anyone done this, and what are your opinions on this option?

Just trying to be better prepared when spring hits and it is time to tear into it.
Thanks!

The Loneseal "Long Coin" product is used in pretty much all Velocity Boats. In my 260 it is glued right to an unfinished fiberglass floor. Snap in carpet can be used over the top without issue.

Both my 1996 Pantera and 1997 Active Thunder have had Pirelli or Lonseal flooring. I sold the Pantera in 2007 and the flooring looked 90%+ of new. My AT still looks 90%+ new also. Both boats were well taken of care, but not babied by any means. Plenty of sand, dirt and rubber sole shoes have been on the floors.
It will stain if something sits on it for a long time. Like red liquid or a can that will rust.

I didn't/don't have snap in carpet in either one, but have seen it in several and its not an issue.

Agree with Griff,

My boat gets ridden hard, and put away wet(until the next day when I have recovered enough to clean it out). Ask anyone that I boat with, I dont get crazy about the shoes deal, I'll jump right up on the deck with shoes on, go from the sandbar across the back seat into the drivers seat, sand and all. My LonCoin has been in the boat for 5 years of florida sun and sand(and beer and Gatorade), with no signs of deterioration, just wipes clean with soap and water.

I took out my carpet and put in the Lonseal that looks and feels like aluminum diamondplate. I really like it, and it holds up like iron, but it's tough on people who have whimpy bare feet. good traction when it's wet too.
