Had one in our motor home if that counts, ran good pulled our 27 ft. Snocross trailer loaded with sleds, gear, tools, gas, etc, 80mph. It had lower miles but for being a die-hard GM guy I was impressed.

Id take a v10 gasser over a 6.0 powerjoke any day....

I have a v10 and 6.4 diesol. The gasser gets about 7mpg. The v10s had a problem with manifolds cracking. Ours did and were replaced. The truck has lots of power but i would rather drive the diesol . Our v10 has 120k and has been used for snow plowing its whole life with no other problems

We had 100K on our Excursion when we sold it and it ran like brand new. I have a customer that runs E350 vans and he has two that have 300K+ on them and they have never been inside the motors. Like mentioned above they are the MOST POPULAR gas motor in the RV industry with millions of miles.

A customer of mine drove 284K in her Excursion without anything major and they seem like the put gas in it and go type people (truck was well used, not maintenance fanatics). She just bought another V-10 Excursion w/80K and they are wearing that one out now. They gave the 284K one to a nephew and he is still driving it.

I have a 2003 350 dually with all the max tow package (including low geared differentials) and 4wd. Only 60,000 miles so far, most miles with 12000 lbs of boat+trailer (or 10000 lbs of horse+trailer).

Only failure: something went weird with the auto tranny at about 40K miles, fixed under warranty. Otherwise, 5K oil changes. Just did a full fluid change.

At 55mpg on cruise control, I get 13 mpg towing the boat. This includes going up and down the grapevine and way up into the Sierras: lots of flat, but lots of looooong steep grades.

Towing at higher speeds, the mpg drops quickly: 65 gives 10mpg, traffic speed (70+) gets down to 8 mpg. As expected, as the truck and the boat are as aerodynamic as a brick.

I have noticed no degradation of any kind, including to paint and interior. It really is still like new.
