Yes they are a quality shop and do great drive work. In my area he's pretty much the best around here. He's been in the biz for a while to and has a very nice full service facility.

I have had a lot of experience with them. The owner is good with drives. However trim cylinders, motor work...look else where. If you get an employee and not Jim you may be disappointed. You will pay for them to learn. I quit going there. They are not good at high performance engines either.

Mikeyo,
I am sure that if you called Jim and had a legitimate complaint he would bend over backwards to make it right. Given that we currently have five master technitians on staff, i doubt anyone was "learning" on your boat. I apologize for your bad experience and we will still stand behind our work on your boat, within reason, even with the internet slam. We just do so much work in a given year anymore and have so few complaints that i wish you would call so we could make it right.

My post was not meant as a slam. I just stated my experience. And I never said they didn't make it right, however I can tell you that making it right took an entire summer. Furthermore the mechanic slightly damaged my upholstery when he got in and pivoted with big work shoes on the top of my back seat. And he sweated profusely on my engine causing discoloration on my aluminum valve covers.
