I have the perfect set up for those guys down there. They need to pump lake water up into a distribution system that keeps water flowing down the roof panels and that will keep snow from accumulating and will control freezing rain to an extent where little to no damage would occur. And you would draw the water from down deep where it is actually warmer than at the surface in the winter.

Shhh, someone might use your idea before you do!
