NYC Powerboat Poker Run 2011
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NPBA Enthusiasts Please Respond Right Away yes or no
As we contemplate bringing back the famed NEW YORK CITY POWERBOAT POKER RUN RALLY, June 18th, 2011

Would you participate?

Would you attend?

The key components that made it famous would remain:

The Patriotic Parade at 10 knots from the Statute of Liberty to the George Washington Bridge;

The Navigator s Challenge from the George Washington Bridge to the Tappan Zee Bridge;

and the extended poker run course that travels all the way up the Hudson River to Peekskill, NY
and ultimately back to Liberty Landing Marina for the Party and Awards.
We would also have a Friday evening Kick-Off Party at the marina with a display of boats and hardware.

Please reply asap.

Comments appreciated also.

Oh yeah…we would give away a $5,000.00 cash purse, awarding $2,500.00, $1,500.00 and $1,000.00
to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers/pokerhands and TROPHIES for special categories including
Best Looking Boat, Best Dressed Crew, Kings and Queens of the Hudson, etc.

Please reply asap to questions 1 and 2, we’ve got work to do
Best regards,
Billy Frenz

In the past, normally you do need to be a member, but the cost is pretty insignificant and that will be good for the year on any of the runs.

Default NYC Poker Run Responses and Pricing

NYC Poker Run Responses and Pricing

We have had a great response for entrants and attendees.
We are working on an inexpensive fee now…in-line with our events we produced last year…I want to make it ‘thrifty’ so everyone can play/have the experience and have a chance of winning $ and special prizes/trophies.

The annual NPBA membership for each person in the boat is $20.00…good for the entire year.

Working on the vendors now…pricing will be published soon.

Who is going to play?
BTW…We have been that “Father’s Day” weekend for 12 years prior…some father’s enjoy using their boat doing something special that weekend…bringing their family and friends to the NYC Run.

The A/C run started after our run years ago.

Some guys make both runs without a problem... I HOPE TO.

Keep those comments and thoughts comin'...

Thanks for the response Billy...Keep us posted.

I dont mean to derail this thread but is there any interest in another tri-state poker run? (Block Island, Long Island, Old Saybrook CT)

We would be interested. Thanks.

+1 on the Block Island, Long Island, Old Saybrook CT run!!!

NY is a little tough for towing in and around, but I would happily pay for a seat on someone's boat if they made the trek.
