Default sea pump

Hello all can anyone help i want to change the impellers on my sea pump they are 2001 year 496ho is there anything else i should change in the pump ? and can you tell me wot part Nunbers i need for the parts the pumps are working fine but i have only had boat for a year and dont know how old they are thanks

Go here and find your engine according to serial number:
http://www.mercruiserparts.com/selec...EO%2E+Model%29
then look under "seawater pump" and you will find the breakdown of the pump. You should only need the impeller and o-ring from the looks of it on the 496 motors....unless you have any damage to the housing.

Im sure you have brass housing. Mine are 02's and my part # is 47-862232A. I just bought a couple off eBay.
