Default To tilt or not to tilt?

Putting in full hydraulic steering on a y2k. Should I go tilt or straight? Pros and cons? Mechanic says it adds $1200 in imco parts. Worth it?

None of my boats have ever had one.. and when upgrading my steering in a couple of them, I've had the option for not much more $ to go with the tilt and opted not to.

Then again, I don't use the tilt steering in my truck ever either...

I like tilt

The boats I've had in the past were always sit/stand bolsters

Either way your helm will def look sharper than mine

Here are some up and down pics

The Y2k is a sit only Y waste the money. You could always put it a wedge if your not happy with the angle its at now. They also make longer hubs to move the wheel closer. I wedged and added a longer hub to make my boat a sit down.
