I purchased this boat from the guy who bought it from doug herbert top feul driver. When i bought it the 540 was down in it. Had clayton racing engines in ohio build new short block. put an acell thruster dfi on it. With a m4sc procharger. At 4900 and 10 psi boost the boat will do 94mph with three people in it. Doug told me the fastest he ever had it was 127 at 6300. It has a 28p hydromotive 5 blade prop. not sure of the gear. also has imco sc drive. Trying now to figure out what oil to use in drive? AND How much hp will the drive hold on lake water min. chop no surfacing and no hard accel.

Did Herbert sell recently? I think I saw him ripping around in it last summer, but may have been a different boat. white with red stripe I think?

he sold about a year ago. when i talked to him told me hadnt been in water in 3 years. red white is correct.

Yeah, he lives around the corner so I usually see (and hear) him when he was out.
I don't think he spent much time out, but definitely saw him out a few times last year.

Something is not right. If you are running 10 lbs of boost at 4900 you should be running way faster then 94.

Where is your prop center line compared to the outside sponsons?

Is your max rpm at 4900 with that prop? Do you have a standoff box on boat?
