Protecting fiberglass engine hatch
#1
How do you guys with fiberglass engine hatches keep them from getting scratched? I'm talking about when you are hanging out, swimming, boarding/unboarding, etc.
I was thinking of getting some of those bathroom type rugs with the rubberized coating on the bottom. Any other ideas?

I got a couple rubber backed bath rugs from target in red to match the boat. They are 60"x30" roughly and cost about $15. I put them across the back when we are rafted up and it creates a protected, non slip area to walk across. The girls like them to put under their towels when laying on the deck too. I just roll them up and put them in the gunnels or storage when not in use. They work great!

Swim platforms, bathrooms and wet bars on them!!!!

I provide the speed, they provide the party platforms!

All joking aside, the only time we swim off my boat is when we are rafted up with friends and the above scenario is true.
