Default Procharged 540 Build And Fuel.

I just got a scarab scs with a blown up procharged 572, i pulled it apart and its a 540, needs to be bored .030 over and it has a 2piece crank with a seal adaptor in it, im gonna sell the crank and put a 1 piece in it, it does have manley h beam 6.385 rods

what cam and heads and pistons would u suggest
pump gas friendly, m1 procharger prolly around 6psi

does procharger remap the ecm or just use a rising regulator.
right now it has a a1000 in line with some other pump, i assume the a 1000 should be plenty. what are u guys running for fuel system on you procharged efi motors.

i appreciate any info.

Je or SRP flat top pistons, Bob Madara (Marine Kninetics) custom cam, Dart Pro 1 heads assebled with good valves(inconel exhaust, isky springs) The a1000 will serve you well, looose the procharger regulator and have Mark Boos (Precision Marine) do the reflash for you and youl will be very happy. Pretty sure you won't see 6psi with a M1 on a 540.

What type of intake are you using? Is it a Merc 502 Mag or 500 efi intake?

I'm runing a Mk IVcrank with the 1 piece adapter in it on a procharged 540 - works great and has never leaked a drop of oil.
I've also got an M2 procharger cheap if you want to upgrade from the m1 (Just the PC - will moung right up and give you 7 lbs boost)

Leave the seal adapter. Mark 4 cranks are more common aftermarket. I'm using 2 of them and they don't leak.

Hey Eddie, I just saw your PM and replied. I'm sorry that I haven't been on here in a while and didn't see it quicker.

so 4-5psi would be more realistic? would the flat tops be pump gas friendly. flat tops are putting my comp. at about 9.5, seems a bit much?
