port engine 496 ho's does any one know if you can remove the starter with out removing the motor? any heplfull hints would be great. thanks

Ewww... I don't envy that job.

You "might" be able to get access if you remove the inboard exhaust manifolds from both motors. I had to do this when replacing the bilge pumps in my 2000 Dominator. It doesn't sound like much, but the absence of the manifolds open up a TON of room.
