Trailer Weight Alum Vs Steel

anybody have a idea on the weight difference between a tandem axle trailer aluminum vs steel ? thanks Rob

General rule of thumb; Aluminum is 2/3s the weight of Steel.

A Myco or similar welded C-channel Aluminum trailer will be heavier than a bolt together Aluminum I-beam trailer.

a 38 Myco steel weighs in at 2200 pounds, the same Myco aluminum weighs around 1200 pounds !!
